Rheumatology Update 2023 Conference at AIMS Mohali Attracts 125+ Delegates from Across India

Mohali, India - November 4, 2023 - The Dr. BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences

(AIMS) Mohali in association with the Indian Rheumatology Association hosted an International CME, the Rheumatology Update 2023. With over 30 faculty members and 125 delegates attending from all corners of India, this conference proved to be a pivotal gathering of some of the brightest minds in the field.

Dr. Sandeep Puri, Principal of DMC Ludhiana and the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at BFUHS held the distinguished role of Chief Guest. Notable faculty included Prof. Aman Sharma, President-Elect of the Indian Rheumatology Association, who was honored as the Guest of Honour for the event, Dr. Binit Vaidya, Director, of the National Center for Rheumatology, Nepal emphasizing the importance of regional collaboration and the exchange of ideas. Furthermore, notable figures like Dr. Varun Dhir from PGIMER, Dr. Bimlesh Dhar, Dr. Suvrat Arya and Dr. Aarti Sharma from Delhi, Dr. Chanaveerappa from JIPMER, Dr. Bonnie Ambujam from Mohali, and others shared their expertise and experiences with the enthusiastic audience.

The conference provided a platform for a diverse range of insights and research in the field of rheumatology. Notably, the program included multiple sessions with a focus on delivering the most up-to-date and practical knowledge to the attendees. These sessions encompassed a wide spectrum of topics including Rheumatoid Arthritis and its various aspects, SLE, Vasculitis, etc. Over 15 scientific papers were presented by experts and postgraduate students from various institutes across India. These presentations delved into the latest advancements, breakthroughs, and emerging trends in the field, ensuring that conference attendees remained at the forefront of knowledge and practice in this ever-evolving field.
