DEPARTMENT OF ANAESTHESIA

The Department of Anaesthesia and Critical care at AIMS, Mohali caters to a varied population coming for surgeries. The department is running round the clock and provide their services in various specialities eg general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, Eye and obstetrics & gynaecology. There are 5 major operation theatres which are well equipped to provide facilities for major, minor surgeries and emergency surgeries. A centralized medical gas pipeline unit provides continuous supply of oxygen, nitrous oxide compressed air and vacuum to all the operation theatres of the hospital with the required automatic control panels and safety area alarms.

A well equipped intensive care unit of 15 beds is providing optimal care to post operative patients, trauma related injuries and various other life threatening diseases like sepsis, shock etc. the ICU is well equipped in terms of mechanical ventilators, bedside ABG analyser, ICU motorised beds, infusion pumps, dedicated X ray machine, multipara monitors, video laryngoscopes etc.
