Services being provided
The department is catering on an average of 70-80 patients per day in OPD with 80-90% bed occupancy along with 24hr emergency services. There is SNCU (Special Newborn care unit) for inborn and outborn babies, care for thalassemic patients and haemophilia patients and Immunisation clinic.
Services planned for future
To make into tertiary care SNCU by acquiring ventilators, CPAP and PICU. Specialised service SNCU- providing phototherapy, basic management of RDS, sepsis, meningitis, TTNB, extreme and normal preterm care. Establishment of Thalassemia day care centre, treatment of Hemophilia patients including the patients who are inhibitor positive, Child welfare clinic, providing treatment to children with rare diseases and setting up of Human Milk Bank.
